The Hallescher Fußballclub combines its ticketing with the ambition to sell out the stadium. On the 37th matchday against Rot-Weiß-Essen, the goal was already achieved in advance sales: 13,000 tickets, sold out.

With the decision to take ticketing into their own hands, HFC chose the white label solution from egocentric Systems, because here the people in charge had the feeling that this would be 100 percent HFC. The new system opened up new possibilities. So did the sale of e- or mobile tickets. They convinced the club, as they reduce waiting times and thus improve the fan experience. This is also reflected in the high acceptance of this innovation among visitors. With the smartphone always with them, this ticket form corresponds to modern consumer behavior.

“The solution […] has already shown us this season that the topic of e-ticketing and mobile ticketing has moved quite far to the front. That wasn’t the case before, there was more about hard tickets,” Patrick Pysall tells us in conversation. The club has also had very positive experiences in connection with promotions and online measures that are directly linked to the ticket store on the website.

Sales success with voucher codes

The use of certain discounts or special offers in combination with the online ticket store developed as a successful concept. This includes the sale of season tickets and online memberships. With the “19 for 16” promotion, all tickets for HFC home games entitle the holder to use public transportation. Despite adjusted prices, the promotion has the effect of ultimately saving fans money: each segment is thus “given” three games per season and club members save 25 percent on the annual membership fee in all price categories. In this way, the club wants to give something back to its fans and make it possible for everyone to attend the match days.

Soccer tradition and future orientation – Hallesche FC shows that this does not have to be mutually exclusive! With modern solutions, creative offers and ticketing software that supports these plans, the stadium can be filled. Patrick Pysall gave us an insight into this world and told us what the next steps are: the box offices are to be modernized. So far, there are four points of sale around the stadium, placed near the entrance. Equipped with laptops and access to the ticketing system as well as a ticket printer, the ticket offices are technically well positioned. The appearance is to be adapted to future-oriented ticketing. A new project that the club, together with our event experts, will master successfully.
